Despite the depression (we all know we are in one but no one wants to admit it!) L O D is still going strong. And for any of our valued customers that happen upon this blog, we thank you for your continued business. Technology has taken us a long way and will continue to but the dvd is still important even though we have our downloads, uploads, mp3's and so on,,,, oh yes, and streaming. The dvd is still a permanent part of business. Storing it in a desk or on a shelf for future reference is still a comfort. Yes, comfort! Its like the old book on the shelf. You know where it is. Oh yeah, you can store it on your "T" file or in your docs but to physically have it in your hand, still is a comfort. It is there! Once again, L O D thanks you for your continued business. L O D America Newsletter

Starting in February, L O D America will be sending out a "Newsletter" to all of it's clients. If you would like to be placed on the email mailing list, please reply to this blog and leave your email address. L O D, each month, will be having discounts on duplication & replication including at times free blank CD's and DVD's. The March special will be, order 1,000 replicated CD's and you will get 25 FREE blank CD's. Each month L O D will remind you to transfer your VHS, 8mm & VHS-C video tapes to DVD. Premier of "The Haunting of Danbury House"

There will be a premier of "The Haunting of Danbury House", a film by John Orrichio & Karl Petry on Sunday, March 11th at Van Fossen Theatre in Bloomfield College. It will start at 2pm sharp.

Synopsis: For 15 years Danbury House has stood silent & empty. It's darkened windows stare out from walls of brick & wood. But, like a midwinter's breeze in the lonely hours of the night, something stirs. It can find no peace.

This will be the third time L O D America has duplicated & packaged DVD's for Karl & John. We wish them continued success and think that this will be the best project yet! "This is the first time Karl & John have done a DVD-9. They have included bonus features that include the director's commentary, cast interview, music video, movie trailer and interactive menus. National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences

Sue Sempier was invited by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to sit on a judging panel on April 10, 2006. The topic was "Investigative Reports". Emmys will be given to the local chapters. The judging took place at the main headquarters of the NATAS in Manhattan. Some of the stations participating where: WGCL-TV 46 News in Atlanta which is a CBS affiliate, WXIA-TV in Atlanta which is a NBC affiliate, WBRC-TV in Birmingham is a Fox affiliate and many more. Some of the topics: "Disaster-Ready or Not": Is Atlanta ready for evacuation? The "Zell Miller Investigation", "Human Trafficing", "Boy Scout Investigation", "Meth: Lab Investigation". Chiller Theatre Expo

The Chiller Theatre Expo was in town this weekend at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Secuacus, NJ. Sue Sempier attended and met some pretty interesting people! Remember Ruth Buzzi from "Laugh-In"? How about Robert Vaughn from "The Man From U.N.C.L.E."? Or Ernie Hudson who was in the movie "Ghost Busters"? Well, they were all there at their tables selling their autographed pictures, DVD's, CD's & Video. Sue went there not only to have fun meeting everyone but to also offer L O D America's duplication services.
Sue also met Jennifer Delora from "Frankenhooker", Ricou Browning, who interestingly enough was the person in the costume "The Creature From The Black Lagoon". Beverly Garland from "My Three Sons", Coralina Catladi Tassoni from "Demons 2", and who could ever forget "Don", Mark Goddard from "Lost In Space".

Premier Invitation

On Sunday, December 4th Sue Sempier was invited to the premier of "Requiem For A Vampire" & "The Larksville Ghost" in Van Fossen Theatre at Bloomfield College. This invitation was extended to all who participated in the making of these fine films. L O D America was responsible for replicating both movies and has attained credits. It was a great opportunity for Sue to meet the cast and crew of these epic "B" movie masterpieces. The program was hosted by actor & radio personality, Tony Rugnetta. Both Karl Petry & John Orrichio, who are the directors of these two movies, often stop by L O D when they need a new movie replicated & packaged. They are co-directing another movie together and we'll let you know when it comes out!
